I Must Have A Lego Darth Vader

By Petro Beens

Another year has almost completely passed us. I do not believe just how fast this year is moving. I was baby sitting for my sister, the other day, and my nephew told me "I want a Lego Darth Vader!" "What is that?", I questioned. Well, he was more than happy to let me know.

"Gosh, Aunt Felicia, how can you not know what that is?" I was feeling stupid. "It is something I have wanted my whole life!" His whole life? He was only four years old. But, for his young age, he sure knew a bunch about this subject! He was gearing up to give me the most important item on his Christmas list.

"Come on auntie! You know how much I love the Star War movies! I have just got to have some of the figurines! I like looking at them." She is eight years old and almost always get her way with her dad, who is my brother.

"Goodness!", his excitement taking over. "I already have the ship that mommy bought me for my birthday. Do you remember that?" Yes, I remembered and thought he was a bit young for it. Just my opinion.

"Well, they have the action figures and I was hoping Santa would bring a few for Christmas! I have been a really good boy and I think momma would agree!" I could see he really had his heart set on these items. He is a precious, sweet heart.

"I would love to have Count Dooku and Boba Fett. The Boba Fett has his own weapon! It would be great to have this for my collection. I would have so much fun when Aaron comes to play!" I could not deny his desire.

I am eager to see the look upon her face, Christmas morning, when she opens her gift. I am sure the cost will be worth the while. Nothing brings more happiness that the smile on a child's face. - 31411
