Looking Back at the History of Precious Moments Ornaments

By Nikki Davis

As a collector of the famously beautiful Precious Moments Ornaments, you need to recognize the history how and who created these spellbinding decors, but to those who don't understand how this lovely concept started, below is the story regarding its creation.

Led by his love of people, Samuel Butcher formed the Precious Moments ornaments. At a very young age, he was inspired by his mother to chase his ambitions and study more to boost his creative gift. With such encouragement, he attended Art Training when finishing high school and ultimately got a scholarship at Berkeley's Arts and Crafts College.

While growing up, he met individuals who influenced him to become a devoted man to the Lord. Ultimately, he joined ministries and fellowships that allowed him to follow his expertise by making posters, inspirational cards and stationery, which conjointly led him to his business partner Bill Biel. Sam didn't think of bringing the tear-drop eyed form children into play, but it became an instant hit that's why Sam's art was brought to life in a form of figure and gave birth to Precious Moments ornaments.

In'78, 21 strikingly beautiful Precious Moments figurines came out in the market and became an monumental triumph. People who bought the figurines felt joy and were touched by his handiwork so they wrote Sam thousands of moving letters.

In 2005, Precious Moments Inc. was born and eventually Precious Moments figurines found their new abode. Ever since then, new figurines are brought in for the public to always collect and give away as gifts. As a result of it had been such a great accomplishment, you wouldn't even believe that a Precious Moment Park was engineered with a Precious Moment Chapel on the land of Carthage, MO in'89 and over 300,000 enthusiasts visit it yearly.

At the moment, thousands of Precious Moments ornaments are out there in the market that continuously enlightens and touches many lives by its fantastically drawn tear-dropped eyes. - 31411
